    My all-time favorite TV ads are these I’ve watched from my teens and I remembered them till now, which is from Pizza Hut Delivery and Digi. The Pizza Hut Delivery TV ad had this song which kept repeating the delivery toll free number and it was so captivating, to an extent that I can still remember the 1300-88-2525 by heart today. Although nowadays we mostly use mobile phone app and website to place our orders, the delivery hotline is still in use and some households still order pizza by calling up the number. This kind of creative promotional ad is what I call an effective one. By feeding consumers the number to call, consumers would order pizza hut delivery compared to other competitors by familiarity and convenience.

    As for Digi, when the TV ad came out, it really convinced me that the signal follows the consumers everywhere they go. So for me, that is effective persuasive marketing communication. The creativeness of using the yellow mascot for the ad and other promotional activities at shopping malls and public events was a hit back then. Everyone knows Digi by their mascot and logo, and I’m sure there are many like me, that were truly persuaded that they have signal everywhere (regardless whether it’s true or not). So obviously these two ads played their part in increasing brand awareness for their respective companies, by making them super memorable and easily recognizable. Adding on to the product and service quality and reliability these two brands have till today, I would say they have done quite well in building their brand equity in this highly competitive environment.
