Briefly explain the role of Theory in research?
Theories are formulated to explain, predict, and understand phenomena and, in many cases, to challenge and extend existing knowledge within the limits of critical bounding assumptions. The theoretical framework is the structure that can hold or support a theory of a research study.
In my opinion, theories explains how and why something functions and the way it functions. Theory guides the research and organize the ideas in it to build a better system of ideas filled with facts and meaningful framework. Theory allows a person/researcher to link between abstract and concrete contents through statements and observational statements.
