The first thing that comes to my mind is CADBURY Chocolates. There is barely anyone who can resist its variety of flavors (Chocolate dark, milk, or white, with or without nuts). It targets people from all age groups, especially those with “sweet tooth”. Its Quality, taste and affordable rates are the main factors contributing on their sales and profits. They meet customer needs by keep up on latest market trends and needs. It is seen that the company is now promoting our local flavor, “Pandan Coconut”. Their way of marketing their product by posting attractive tagline and slogans on social media which attract the interest of their consumers towards the products. This directly induces the consumers to buy more chocolates. The catch is buying any two or three 160g bars and get Free Cadbury Batik Heritage Mug / Jute Bag.

On the other hand, Ferrero Rocher, other popular chocolate brand needs room for improvements despite having strong brand name worldwide. Major setback for this product is its price when compared to other alternatives. Another big negative for Ferrero Rocher is that it is rarely advertised, hence loses its market shares to other competitors. It will be good if there is a launch of new flavors and boost their advertisements on social media.
